Subscription & Refund Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains one-time credit purchases, recurring billing, cancellation, refunds, failed payments, and price changes.
Pricing and payment
The checkout page displays the applicable price, currency, billing interval, and any unavoidable taxes or fees before purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe on the web, or by Apple or Google when an in-app purchase is offered. Promotional terms shown at checkout form part of this policy.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing interval until canceled. You authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method on file at each renewal. The next billing date and current plan are available through subscription management.
Credits and the welcome gift
A credit pack is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. Purchased credits are tied to the account used at checkout and do not expire while that account remains open. They cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash and are usable only within Kanmin. Account deletion removes any unused balance as described below.
Accounts created after the welcome offer starts can receive a one-time Credit gift at the current amount shown by the service. Changes apply only to eligible accounts that have not yet received the gift; completed gifts keep their original amount. Email/password accounts receive the gift after email verification; accounts first created with Google or Apple receive it after successful account setup. Existing accounts do not receive a backdated gift. Signing in again, changing devices, or linking another login method does not grant another gift. Welcome Credits share the account's Credit balance and spending rules, do not expire while the account remains open, and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
Free accounts no longer include free generation counts. Reports and AI replies require Credits; PRO subscribers use their daily included allowances before Credits. Opening calculated charts, divination casts, and report cards does not use an allowance or Credits. Personality, Career, Relationship, and each selected-year Annual Report are separate report tasks. Each report uses the current Natal task-result rate shown in Account when no subscription allowance applies. Generating one report does not include another topic or year. Previously completed reports and previews remain readable, and recovering the same completed request does not charge again.
Generation rates and subscription allowances may be updated as product settings. The current AI follow-up, Divination, Natal, Compatibility, and Timing rates and allowances are shown in Account. The rate shown when a paid AI task starts is locked in and reserved for that task; a request already in progress keeps the rate it started with.
Credits can be used for every paid generation, including after a subscriber has used the day's included allowance. For a failed or empty generation, the service automatically attempts to restore reserved Credits in full. If restoration cannot yet be confirmed, duplicate charging is blocked and the user should contact support if the balance does not recover.
Permanently deleting an account also deletes its unused Credits, including the welcome gift. The deletion confirmation identifies this consequence before deletion.
Cancellation
Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access normally continues until the end of the current billing period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
For a website subscription billed by Stripe, cancel through Account → Manage or cancel subscription on the website. Account deletion is blocked while a Stripe subscription is still set to renew. Once Stripe confirms that every website subscription is scheduled not to renew, you may permanently delete the account immediately.
For a subscription billed by the App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's subscription settings using the Apple or Google account used to purchase it. Account in the Kanmin mobile app shows a store management link when a store subscription may still renew. A store subscription does not block deletion of your Kanmin account, but deleting that account does not cancel the store subscription: the store may continue charging until you cancel there. If you also have a website subscription, the Stripe deletion requirements above still apply.
Permanently deleting an account ends any remaining paid access and removes unused purchased credits. Deletion does not automatically issue a refund; statutory rights remain unaffected.
Refunds and consumer guarantees
Change-of-mind refunds are not automatic after digital access has been supplied, but we may provide a discretionary refund where appropriate. This does not limit remedies available when a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee or other mandatory law.
For web purchases, contact support@kanminlabs.ai with the account email and payment date. For purchases billed by Apple or Google, request a refund through that store, while retaining any rights you have against us under applicable law.
When a credit purchase is refunded, the Credits covered by that refund are removed from your available balance. If the available balance is insufficient because Credits have already been used, the shortfall is recorded in Credits. Credits later added to your account first cover that shortfall before increasing your spendable balance.
When we receive and process the store's refund information, the PRO access provided by the refunded store subscription ends without waiting for the original billing period to finish. Any access provided by another valid subscription continues under that subscription. Store notifications may be delayed, so the account may not update at the moment a refund is approved. These account adjustments do not limit your statutory rights.
Failed payments and price changes
Access may be restricted after a failed payment, subject to payment-provider retries and applicable law. We will give reasonable advance notice of subscription price increases. A new price applies from a future renewal and you may cancel before it takes effect.
